Lately I’ve been obsessing over buttercream flowers. When done well, they are so lovely. There’s a bakery in Ohio, The White Flower Cake Shoppe, whose giant non-rose flowers have me drooling on a daily basis. Tonight I found these beauties while trolling the internets. I, however, have a long way to go before I reach these buttercream heights of beauty. I’ve always loved sculpting, and that makes me fond of fondant, but not everyone is keen on it. And there’s a lot to be said about creating something beautiful and 3 dimensional out of sweetened butter.
